It is important that any previously installed antivirus software is uninstalled from your system before installing a new antivirus/antimalware product. Typical uninstallation* using the Windows removal tool (Add/Remove Programs) is often insufficient. Having multiple antivirus programs installed on the same computer often results in conflicts including false positive detections, performance degradation and system instability.
